Tool-less Gaskets with Waterjet Cutting

Tools are the jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, and gauge components that are designed and constructed to convert raw material into the required shape of the finished part. Before a full production run can be initiated, these tools need to be custom engineered and tested. Consequently, tooling can be costly and time-consuming. However, Atlantic Gasket Corporation is able to eliminate the tooling process with precision waterjet machining.

While tooling is often considered an investment in parts production, it simply may not be feasible when you need quick turnaround custom prototype gaskets, seals, and other parts at an economical price. For this reason, Atlantic Gasket has equipped its manufacturing facility with a precision computer numerical control (CNC) waterjet cutting machine that offers customers a more efficient and cost-effective alternative. Instead of using dies or tools to produce parts, waterjet machining uses a single CAD file and a powerful 60,000 PSI high pressure stream of water to cut parts with tolerances as tight as +/- .005". Hydrocutting is an ideal technology for low quantity production runs.

Cut tooling out of the manufacturing process with CNC waterjet cutting services from Atlantic Gasket. Contact us at 1-800-229-8881 or sales@atlanticgasket.com to learn more. Already know what you want? Click here to request a quote.
