Atlantic employs several types of slitting technologies to create rolls of stripping from a wide variety of non-metallic roll goods, with or without pressure sensitive adhesive backing.
Utilizing single-knife slitting and high speed un-wind/re-wind slitting methods, we can furnish slit rolls from ¼" wide up to 60" wide.
Computer-controlled single knife slitting can create rolls to tight width tolerances in roll diameters up to 20". Many adhesive backed closed cell sponge and foam materials can be efficiently cut using this methods, as well as more dense substrates such as solid rubber, cork-rubber and many thin plastic films.
Our rewind slitters utilize multiple knives spaced to the desired strip width, and depending on knife style, can cut virtually any non-metallic material, including hard plastic films such as polycarbonate, polyester, vinyl, Teflon, low density polyethylene (LDPE) and similar materials.
We stock many standard gasket materials such as open and closed cell sponge, cellular polyurethane foam, open cell urethane foam, and solid rubber elastomers such as neoprene, EPDM, Buna-N (Nitrile), silicone, viton, butyl and Hypalon. Also stocked are many varieties of plastic, plant fiber, fishpaper, cork and cork-rubber and many high performance and high temperature gasket materials.
Our standard 50’ long adhesive-backed soft density closed cell neoprene sponge tapes are available in a variety of thicknesses and widths, with other densities available upon request. Click here for specifications and pricing.
Our standard 25 ft. adhesive-backed medium density closed cell silicone tapes offer excellent ozone, flame, and UV resistance. Ideal for high-temperature applications (up to 500° F Intermittent). Click here for additional information and pricing for our silicone sponge tape/stripping
All of our slit rolls are furnished on 3" cores, with maximum roll lengths dependent on material thickness and slit roll width.
